The Big Rock Fire Protection District has been providing firefighting and EMS services to the community since 1953. Our highly trained and experienced firefighters, EMT's and paramedics are always ready to respond to emergencies and ensure the safety of our residents. We are proud to serve and protect our community with dedication and commitment. Our fire district is 36 square miles. in 2002 we began providing the residents of the kaneville fire protection district with ems services, bringing our ambulance district to 72 square miles, including 9 miles of interstate 88.
